Where Have All The "Flowers" Gone? 02

Per regulations for the armed forces of 19 August 1940, a Sudeten Medal (with or without Prague bar, as this one has) came in at Spot #33, and the 1936 Olympic Games Merit Medal followed at #36 (see section here on Prussian & Reichs regulations).

But very often these are found in normal German "in the order awarded" precedence, with the 1936 medal ahead of the 1938/39 "flowers campaigns" medals.

So sometimes position of awards-- always presuming that regulations WERE being followed!!!--can help date a loose ribbon bar or medal bar. Other awards shifted over time-- notably the Lifesaving Medal and 19i40 War Merit Medal.
