    Bar: 1870/71 Battles 01

The "Hindenburg Cross" ribbon of 1934 was a cloned copy of Prussia's 1870/71 war with France medal. When you see one of these bars on this ribbon

    1) it is extremely extremely rare to FIND (these veterans were in their 70s during WW1 !!!) and

    2) there must ALWAYS be a pale yellow ribbon for the 1897 Centenary ribbon also on the bar, which all 1870 veterans were awarded-- and without which, you are most likely looking at an "improved" 1930s altered Hindenburg Cross ribbon bar.

So I am extremely happy to have this 15mm size 1870/71 battle bar to share, from the battle of Metz. This is an original, which will be seen in the main text section with its entire :love:General's ribbon bar.
