Philippines Wounded Medal?

A dim spark in the memory banks indicates that this is a Phillipines Wound Medal for civilians. Can anyone shed any light on the accuracy of that recollection? The reverse is blank and I find no maker's marks.

Interesting, Jeff. The OMSA datatase shows this

I'm not sure when the ongoing work of Manuel L. Quezon III (quite a name to conjure with, eh?) stands.

Hi Ed,

The two medals you linked were for military/police wounded in the line of duty. The one initially posted is thought to be for civilians(perhaps killed by the Japanese)? The colors on the ribbon are reversed. New award for the database, Ed?
