Unknown badge found in Spain, French or maybe Spanish?

Hello everyone, I am just starting out collecting items from the Napoleonic Wars as well from the Second French Empire. I pick up this piece from Spain and it was found out in a field. I was wondering if anyone would happen to know if it was Spanish or French ( like I have been told it was.) and does it date from that period or sometime later?

I was also told that it was for an ammo pouch.

It looks so small, maybe an inch long. I think it might be a collar ornament, and perhaps late 19th century since a metal collar ornament is practically unknown for Napoleonic uniforms. For a cartridge pouch badge, I think it would have to be three times the size of yours.

I doubt that it is from the late 19th century because I have a few of the collar ornaments that were worn by the Spanish Army during the later period of the 19th century and those are much larger and are golden in color. Also I agree that it is not from a cartridge pouch badge. I got a chance to see a French cartridge pouch badge from the Napoleonic Era and you are right. It's much larger than this badge.

That horn is from the spanish post the old symbol of the spanish postages or correos de espana, probably from a mail delivery uniform of the republic era...

From which republican era? First or Second? and the Spanish Army also wear this style of badge as well.
