    Yep...

This mysterious type 5 (and type 6) in this classification http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/51156-classification-of-colden-kites-in-4th-and-5th-class-an-attempt/ .

So does it really exclusively belong to Taisho epoch as I though?

Here we were having first doubts

    http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/52822-applying-the-golden-kite-dating-classification-a-question-for-japanx/

    Then again http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/51156-classification-of-colden-kites-in-4th-and-5th-class-an-attempt/page-3 (from post # 47)

Now we know the exact answer ;)

    The answer is solid NO!

No, it doesn`t exclusively belong to Taisho epoch!

This type of Kite with "scattered" riverts belong to Meiji/Taisho epoch.

    Why?

    Here comes an answer!

    Yep.

Kite is from Showa epoch, but the case is from Meiji/Taisho time period.

    Hello JapanX

Thank you very much for this answer,

I am sorry that the medal and the case are not the same epoch, I thought of having a homogeneous set,

    ....too bad, it's a pity.

    Hello
    Thank you very much JapanX

I keep affectedly these photos for the documentation (photothèque) that I am establishing.

But... I begin to have a doubt about other kites i have in my collection ...

Both this below seem to me of era Meiji as well as cases (the box of 7th class is Brown what reminds me in a box of era meiji)...
but what about exactly !!! I'm afraid !!

    Regards

    Patout

Thank you for the informative overview!

But I have a question. On the B/W photograph the center field (which should be blue) appears to be lighter in tone than the 32 rays (which should be red).

I was trying to play with the picture, but I cannot get the sender blue field look like on the photograph here... How dod you explain that?

Most likely this happened because of the catchlight.
