I have this nice Oldenburg ribbon bar, which is a similar bar to that on a thread started by Christer. This bar has a few extras to it. Vor Dem Feinde clasp, Austrian bravery medal and 40 years faithful service device. Its in very good condition. Nice close ups of the miniatures.

I'm surprised not to see a Crowned X on the first "OK" ribbon--from the position, that's what it must have been. Otherwise, it's a peacetime House Order and THAT either/or is what will make this tricky to ID.

Looks like a nice early WW2 bar. My bet would be this guy jusssssssst scarped short of earning a war-doubled-time XXV,,, REALLY tight timing--say in 1901/02 but OUT 1919, and then continuous civil service for that 40 1940/41. That should neatly winnow down possible suspects, but for the either/or. Highl unlikely to be a peacetime House Order... though possible.

Navy? Army? A name should pop up from any of the possibilities.

OK, how's this for fast--if NOT happily. NO WW1 Oldenburg House OrderX recipient matches. So peacetime... much harder, even with those rolls not fully transcribed. We haven't got this one on our Master List.
