I couldn´t find anything about Regiment Stossreserve Nölke.I couldn´t even find very much about the battle in Posen. Maybe several of You have some very appreciated further informations. As to the Stossreserve - it seems that it was some kind of Panzer unit (according to the history above). But I can't help you more. Bernhard H.Holst Posted January 15, 2014 Share Posted January 15, 2014 Hello readers. This document is signed by Oberst Ernst GONNELL, DoB 24. Nov. 1902 and Dod (suicide) 23. Feb. 1945. as Generalmajor and commandant of Fortress Posen. Promoted to that rank with date of 30.Jan. 1945. Decorated with the German Cross i.Gold in January 1945 and the Knightscross of the Iron Cross with date of 22. Feb. 1945 for his service as commandant of the fortress. Him being wounded 3 times during the few last months of the war is a good example for the intense and desperate fighting!
