I always had misgivings as to it being a war time or post-war piece due to overall construction and lack of catch plate. I sold mine as a post-war piece. I've seen them come up over the years and they have always caused a difference of opinion...so I suppose it falls in to the category of ' either you like them, or you don't' Anyway, please don't tell me that you have some solid evidence that they are in fact some sort of late war piece....you really don't want to see a grown man cry.
