    Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone had any information on Oblt Barth from FAR 32 (first name, DOB, appointments and such). He was promoted to Oberleutnant on 24.01.1911 and I think he may have been in the Fliegertruppe during WW1.

    Thanks in advance,

    Matt.

    Hi Matt!

The Ehrenrangliste doesn´t have an Oberleutnant Barth in FAR32. There only is a Leutnant Barth of the FAR 64 (later Hauptmann a.D.)

I also have a saxon Rangliste of 1918. There I found a Rudolf Barth, serving with the FAR32 (3rd battery) as a Rittmeister (in the saxon Rangliste called Hauptmann), with the Hauptmann patent 21.5.14G

There ain´t no Barth listed in the avaiation troops of 1918

Will check the saxon Militär-Verordnungsblatt 1911 and 1914 Ranklist tonight .

I also have a saxon Rangliste of 1918.

Hallo Andreas. An dieser Rangliste wäre ich sehr interessiert. :catjava:

Könnte ich die als Kopie o.ä. bekommen?

    Gruß Stefan

PS: mentioned Rudolf Barth (born 24.7.81 in Hettstedt, Provinz Sachsen) received the St. Henry KC in April 1918 as Hauptmann in general-Staff of 53. saxon Reserve-Division.

    Hello Andy, Stefan and Glenn,

Major Rudolf Barth is the wanted man, as the Hptm Barth I was looking for also served in Feldflieger Abteilung 24 in 1915.

Andy - sorry, I should have mentioned that I was looking at the Saxon Rangliste of 1914 - he is listed as an Oberleutnant on page 58...

Unfortunately I do not have the Saxon Rangliste of 1918, but I would like to get my hands on a copy if I can find one where the price is reasonable.

You said that he does not appear in the aviation troops of 1918. May I ask what source you are using, is it the Dienstaltersliste 1919 or some other?

I have the Dienstalterslite but sadly it does not provide the promotion dates for Bavarian and Saxon officers.

Thanks to everyone for his biography, it has confirms my assumption that he was the right guy!

    Regards,

    Matt.

    Hello Matt!

I made a mistake. I jused the prussian Dienstaltersliste 1919. I forgot, that saxon men are not mentioned (I checked it before my first coffee at 5am...)

    Matt and Stefan:

I have is still in good condition, but with a loose binding. I´m afraid to put it into the scanner. Making photographs would be a lot of work. There are 62 pages...

Please do me a favour. Try to get it in a library; if you´ll be unlucky, I will look for some time to make photographs, if I´ll have holidays. Nowadays I´m off to my bloody work for 12-13 hrs a day

    Hi Andy,

That's ok, I appreciate the offer.

I might make an enquiry of you occasionally, such as "can you look up when so-and-so was promoted to Hauptmann" etc.

But I'll get my hands on a copy sooner or later. :)
