He participated in the First Serbian Uprising, led Serbs in the Second Serbian Uprising, and founded the House of Obrenović. Under his rule, Serbia became an autonomous principality within the Ottoman Empire. Prince Miloš ruled autocratically, permanently refusing to share power. paja Posted November 21, 2015 Share Posted November 21, 2015 Apart from the ruling families I've seen paintings and lithographs of prominent Serbs from that period, some even leaders of the First and Second Serbian Uprising, wearing Ottoman decorations. Luka Lazarević (Лука Лазаревић), looks like Nişan-ı İftihar, please correct me if I'm wrong. Apart from that we can see he's also awarded with Russian Golden Medal for Bravery and Zeal (Медаль "За храбрость и усердие") from 1804 on St. George ribbon! The ones which has Sultan's pictures on are Tasvir-i Hümayun (Sultan's Portrait), the others are Nişan-ı Zişan (order of Chivalry).
