IrishGunner
The UNC was formed in 1917/1918; so, yes, post-war WWI. I believe the organization still exists today. So, I don't know how long these medals were produced or how to tell how old it might be... I believe these are the type of medals that a veteran could purchase from the organization. Perhaps, some of our French experts will add some comments. I think it's fairly common to find the medal for sale online and at flea markets. lambert
Hello Rich It is reciprocal. I learn every day with you and have some knowledge and share with much pleasure to all ...From what I know, this medal is attributed only to veterans of WWI, I do not know if it is currently granted to veterans of other wars (WWII, Korea, indochine .. etc. ..)Perhaps one of our French colleagues can enlighten us.
