CRBeery Posted January 24, 2015 Share Posted January 24, 2015 Here is a bar that I have been offered. I have passed on it but I wanted to post it to make sure I have not missed something. The things that give me pause are the new ribbons, the use of smaller ribbons and the style of bar. I gues it could be a remount that was just kept very clean but I want to see what you think. It just looks so new and the use of the 1/2 sized ribbons. If this were an older trapezoid mount with some age I would love it. Have there ever been a number of bars made from real parts on these type of ribbon? I don't remember any. It may go to SOS and I don't want to name the price as I'm not sure if I was given a better price than the public. That doesn't bother me as there was a time gap between when the oaks were instituted and then the Centenary medal. If this guy was still alive when the Centenary medal was instituted he probably had to have a new bar constructed. I'd love to have this bar in my collection.
