    Golden Party Badge in wear

    Recommended Posts

    Hi,

Just added this nice photo to my wedding portrait collection.

It shows a Political Leader, his bride and a Flower Girl.

He is wearing a matched set of Golden Party Badges. This is not seen very often as wearing the complete set on a uniform was against regulations.

Does anyone else have GPB in wear photos, if so please post them here.

    Cheers,

    Larry

    Hi Morten,

Thanks for your nice comments. Please post your photo. Photos of this badge don't come up for sale very often as only the first 100,000 people to join

    the NSDAP received one.

Here is a photo of Wilhelm Krieper (left) with his brother Rupert.

Wilhelm is wearing ribbons for EK 2, Ost Medal, a Golden Party Badge, EK 1 and LW Ground Assault badge.

    Cheers,

    Larry

    Perhaps Jock...

On the other hand, the guy looks to be in his 40s.. The picture was taken after Sept. 1939 (hence the KM tally), so he must have been 18 or a bit older in 1918.

The lad is about 15 years (born around 1925), so he could be his son, foster son, or relative in another way... It is all open for speculation because there is no information on the back of the picture.

It just shows, that the GPB was not only worn on the Party uniform. Perhaps the guy was a Party official, but also a Kriegsmarine reservist, and drummed up for war service.

    Note also this: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/gallery/image/7940-nsdap-15-ribbar-army-gefreiter-odulf-gmic/

Another example of a distinguished Party member in a soldier's uniform.

Nice image regardless, we shall never know for sure!

An elderly Kriegsmarine reservist and Great War Veteran

Nice photo. I would say they are father, mother and son.

The Obergefreiter could be a WW1 vet. Can't see his medal bar properly but he's wearing the KM artillery Mechanic trade specialist badge.

Another GPB worn on a Heer uniform.

    Cheers,

    Larry

Quite an early Army uniform, around 1935 I would think, probably a conscripted Party member who joined the club at an early age.

I agree, he joined the Party at an early age. Obviously he is too young to be a WW1 vet.

He wears numbers for Infantry Regiment 116 on his shoulder tabs so 1935 would be too early as this regiment was not formed until 1936. Looks like he is wearing an M35 tunic though.

So 1936 -37 would be my guess when the photo was taken.

    Cheers,

    Larry
