    1. Hello Gentlemen, Here is the Order of 20 August from Senegal, not much more info about it, but it exist. I only saw 1 in my whole life (yet ). It is 30 x 40 millimeters, and its weight is 30 grammes. No visible hallmarks. Regards to all. Emmanuel
    2. Hello Gentlemen, Here is the Singapore Republic Covid Resilience Medal. The medal is rhodium silver plated, size 41 x 51 millimeters, weight : 43 grammes. The medal slightly swivel on suspension bar. With its case of issue. Regards to all. Emmanuel
    3. Thank you Mr "no one" . Any idea where I could get the ribbon ? Even a modern ribbon ?? Regards. Emmanuel
    4. Hello Gentlemen, I recently purchased this Republic of China ( R.O.C. ( ie Taiwan ) Police Medal, with a very low number : 037. Unfortunately there is no ribbon, and the various I have seen over the time, were worn from very different ribbons. The medal is NOT recently made, believe me, 69 millimeters large, 35 grammes, and 3 parts construction. It's far far far from the cheap cheap pieces produced in the 1980ies, 90ies and so on. Could someone help me to get the ribbon that would correspond to that model of medal ? Long time ago Jeff Floyd had a set with the 9 medals ( because this awards following the chinese system got 3grades each grade divided in 3 classes ). But that very one seems more older, likely from the 1950ies. I'am open to any comment, suggestion, and any others members who would share photo of theirs R.O.C Police Medal, even if not thee same class, even if later version. Best regards to all. Emmanuel
    5. Hello Gentlemen, During the lockdown in Malaysia (in summer 2021), I was lucky enough to have been able to buy a pair from a malaysian firefighter, with the Maldives Gold Lifesaving Medal ( here shown obverse and reverse ). Maldives often ask for "collaboration" with Malaysia firefighter, if they need hardware to assisting them in some ways. Regards to all. Emmanuel
    6. Hello Gentlemen, I have to disagree with Anand Singh, I have to agree with my friend Owain, No book is never perfect, especially in a so large wide topic than Indian States Awards. I'am a collector for more than 30 years, and I purchased the book of Mr McClenaghan in the late 1990ies. It is the onliest book of its kind. Yes most the photo are black and white, as it was then the most, in published books. Yes there is awards for which Mr McClenaghan never obtain photo, but yet, he got the text, so he listed them. Over the years, I have luckily been able sometimes to puchase award that in his book are only listed by a description by words : yet these description are often accurate, like it was for a group of Hyderabad I bought in the course of 2023. So, and because in the late 1990ies I had a written correspondance with Tony McClenaghan, I think we should all, pay tribute to his immense contribution to this very specific field of phaleristic ( I know his books was about more than 30 years of research and travelling trough India, a country he loved so much, with visiting former Maharajah's Office's and getting to get access to pre-1947 States record, that was certainly far from being easy, and nowday would likely be almost impossible, as the people who helped him in his task in the 1970ies, and 80ies and 90ies are likely not with us anymore, these people, we got to pay tribute to them also, they were first hand witnesses ). I just hope that one day, another book will complete his, yet Ed Haynes (which I had correspondance and exchange of photo trough email) for long time, I was hoping that one day Ed would publish a book that would have completed the book published by Tony McClenaghan. Ed published a very very good book on the Awards of the Republic of India, and according to our correspondance, he wished to publish a book on Pakistan, maybe Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives, but yet nothing has come. Those who know me, that when I do a post, I like to add photo to feed the topic. So I earlier spoke about a yet undisclosed photo of a Hyderabad Award, so I can present you the Medal Group of the Nawab Mir Nawaz Jung Bahadur who was Finance Minister of Hyderabad ( a country that had a seat at the UN till May 1948 ), with Tamgha e Asafia on left hand side ( Medal of the Asafiah 2nd Class ). It is a very very rarerly seen award. The 3rd Medal is Hyderabad WW2 Victory Medal, the 4th Medal is Hyderabad Silver Jubilee 1936. May I suggest to Anand Singh, that it is always more constructive, to bring constructive criticism to the story (and with photo, it is always better, as it sparks interest in the community of collectors). In the book about India Princely States Awards there was no photo of the Hyderabad Tamgha e Asafia, but there was a correct accurate description. By the way, and because I have seen 1 such a copy. It seems to exist a 2nd printing of the book of Tony McClenaghan on India States Awards, with most of the photos, off centred => like a bit blured. Was there a 2nd printing in India at a later stage in the 2000-2010, with photo far from being as clear as in the legit 1st Edition. If this is such a book that Anand Singh had bought, then I know the photos are not clear ( in that subesquent edition, or re-printing of the original book ). Regards to all. Emmanuel
    7. Hello Mr Singh, Hello Rishi, I assume you are right 100 %, but it is not in the huge book on the Order and Medal of Nepal published in Kathmandu in the 1960ies, that's why I had always "struggle" to knew what this star is. Yes I got it in Malaysia, and believe it or not this breast star pop's up in Kuching ( State of Sarawak ). As this breast star is also NOT in the book on McClenaghan on Orders & Medals from Indian States, it was even harder. But if I follow the opinion, of the person who entered in that topic, that breast star shall be a kind a Bravery Award superior to the Nepal Sena Soubhaga Decoration and to the Bravery Medal ? If I'am correct ? The Sena Soubhaga I ounce have obtained an original ribbon, but even in Kathmandu ( I was there in late February 2006 ), I didn't saw one, in the 2 museum with Orders I visited. The Bravery Medal I have one. Best regards to all. Emmanuel
    8. Here we have a good photo of General Naing Naing Oo with Zeya Kyawhtin Title Again, it is 99,99 % likely it is an almost pure gold neck badge. Regards to all. Emmanuel
    9. Others good photo of such High Title don't come so easy. Here is a photo of General Min Aung Hlaing Tharay Sithu Title. We can't figure out how heavy this Title neck badge is, but there is 99,99 % chance it's almost pure gold. Best regards to all. Emmanuel
    10. Hello Gentlemen, Hello Damian, In real one of these Title badge I was shown a better photo, it looks like this. On the board presentation photo ( bottom row at left ). Thiri Pyanchi Title. Sadly I was not in SE Asia at the time, so deal was not able to be done, and as it is very heavy almost pure gold (voice recorded message quote a weight of about 99 grammes but as I never got in hands I cannot confirm), price was above the price of what would be a Garter Breast Star in Auction in London. But still I think it's the best ever close up photo I have got. Better to got the photo than got nothing. Regards. Emmanuel
    11. Hello Gentlemen, Hello "No One" Here are an earlier Naval disposition Medal. This one numbered 180 on reverse. Size is 48 millimeters. Weight is 42 grammes. Regards to all. Emmanul
    12. Hello Gentlemen, Long time ago I bought in Berlin such a Medal of Excellence, but I understand, it's an early one, likely from shortly before WWII , but in the middle of the 1930ies, China was already at war with Japan. This medal is 42 millimeters in diameter, 23 grammes, silver-gilt, with "cloisonné enamel" technique. And numbered 741 on reverse. I know well the Orders, but I'am not that much onto Medals of the Republic of China, before WWII (there were so many, and even more, in what is commonly named War Lord Period : 1912-to late 1920ies ), so what was the purpose of this medal ? Regards to all. Emmanuel
    13. Hello Gentlemen, Here are some others Winged Leopard Medal ( the one with number 126 and the one with number 59 ). Regards to all. Emmanuel
    14. Hello Kvart, The reply is yes, Argentina is one of the very few countries in the world, where the grade of Grand Officer in a National Order in any of the nationals Orders of Argentina is only a breast star : no neck badge or breast star. Long time ago I had the opportunity to get the breast star of Grand Officer of Military Merit of Argentina awarded to the Deputy of the Chief of Staff of the Belgian Army, it was only a breast star, in its case, where there was space only for a breast star and a miniature lapel badge + the ribbon bar. Regards. Emmanuel
    15. Hello Megan, Yes in the period that follows 1976, Argentina Order of May reverted to the female head center. But insignia made in the late 80ies, 90ies, or even early 2000 were of much lesser quality. You can see red enamel, it's epoxy, white enameled rays much much smaller, and probably epoxy too. And I know collector always will ask, why is there Order of May ( both breast star and neck badge ), with white rays : "empty"....this I do not have the answer, except that, like it had happened in others countries, when there was no fund, enough, decoration were not completed, yes I know it sounds strange, but I have seen that elswhere. Regards. Emmanuel
