    1. Indeed. You are right. I apologize. It seems you gave the credits to yourself now. 👍 regards Herman
    2. I found this medalgroup of Brigadier J.S. Nicholson, British Army online. It contains a Panamese Medal of Solidarity. regards Herman
    3. Also, online a database can be found where you can search by name. The site is: www.nationaalarchief.nl and then the link to Kanselarij der Nederlandse Orden (Chancellery of Dutch Orders). I could only find one Holmstrom: Carl Otto Holmstrom who received a silver medal in the House Order of Orange. Unfortunately this database is not complete and it lacks the last 30-ish years. Regards Herman
    4. The Name & Rankinglists from 1940 and older years are available online at www.nlme.nl. If you type in 'Gr5' or 'Griffioen' you will find a bunch of officers awarded with this order. Most of them show up around 1901, the year Queen Wilhelmina married to Prince Hendrik. Regards Herman
    5. Hello Laurentius, Our fellow GMIC member Seeheld has the Mecklenburg rolls available, but I did not use them. I checked the Officers Name & Rankinglists of the Dutch Army, the Adelborstenboek and also Delpher kranten. Therefore I assume it is not 100% ironclad. Regards Herman
    6. Laurentius, I checked my own records, the Ritterkreuz is awarded to 19 Dutch recipients. Furthermore I found 4 Dutch recipients of the Ritterkreuz with Crown, 5 Honor crosses, 1 Grand Commander and 8 Grand Crosses. I am sure I missed a few. I have in my collection a set of three awarded to a Dutch officer identified to Colonel Clavareau. Regards Herman
    7. My own medalset as of now with the red enamelled TMPT cross. Regards Herman
    8. Nothing found in the files of the Dutch Chancellery about his Oranje Nassau order. Regards Herman
    9. The set of Major-General Nico Tack. A highly decorated Dutch War veteran including WW2, the Dutch Indies and Korea. I met him in person in the eighties. A gentleman. Sadly he passed away a few years back.
    10. Indeed it is very disturbing if auction houses are willingly selling cheap and crappy copies as high value originals. This in the end is killing for our hobby. Regards Herman
    11. Do a search with the word "griffon" on this website and you will learn a lot more about this order. Regards Herman
