Full Cavalier of the Order of Labor Glory

    Recommended Posts

I'd like to understand better how the OLG series fit into the normal labor sequence DistLab => ValLab => BoH => RBL => HSL. How was the OLG series awarded? And to whom? This may require having research available. Not now, alas. :(

    Dear Ed,

the same problem, as with the (military) Glory: A full cavalier is at the ident level as a HSL or HSU, but a 2nd or 3rd class is (officially) below a BoH or RS :speechless: .

Personally I would rank a singular OLG between a BoH and RBL. A OLG 2cl & 3cl between a RBL and Lenin.

I guess, there had been a somehow ident prestige concerning the OLG and Glory: Proletarian awards for authentic deeds :jumping: .

    Best regards

Another set just appeared on ebay too. Search "soviet group" and you'll see it. Any thoughts on this one? The documents look bad to me, but are the medals perhaps real?

    They are real.

new price reduction: $ 10.500,- for sale !!!!!!

    A reduction of 60 % against the initial $ 26.000,- some month ago :speechless1::speechless1: .

What's going on at the market  ?

    Gentlemen,

at the recent NY-auction of Dimitry Markov a rather similar set had been sold for $ 37.050,- (incl. buyer's premium) :jumping:

Igor might sell 3 sets to me for that price :P .

    Best regards

The CollectRussia cavalier set has sold for a "mere" 10K :speechless1: This is the only soviet medal-related item whose value has dropped below what it was when I started collecting 2 years ago.

Are you the happy new owner, who saved more than 27K bucks in comparison to the NY-auction :D ?

I guess, that such an ultra-rare set for humble 10K has to be a good purchase :jumping: .

I wish I were the new owner, but I barely have $10, let alone $10K :cheeky: Congrats to whoever bought it though.
