    1. I have had my copy, #174, for a week as of today. Thank you Gordon for a wonderful addition to my library. I am very much enjoying it. This is a beautiful and very informative work. Regards, Dick
    2. Hi Mike, You can contact Roger Bender at rbender@bender-publishing.com he should be able to help you! Regards, Dick
    3. My copy is already on order! Can't wait to get my hands on it! Thanks Gordon. Regards, Dick
    4. Bernie, I am sorry to say that I don't have any further information about him or his service. Worst of all I don't know where to go for the material you need either. Sorry! Perhaps someone else can help you. Regards, Dick
    5. Hi Bernie, In answer to your question concerning Dr. Nordewin Diest-Koerber. I was unable to find him listed in Walther-Peer Fellgiebel's book, but he is listed in von Seeman's. He is also listed as a member of the OdR and his wartime rank as a Hauptmann d.R. and his award date as 1.5.45. If memory serves me right, there were some late war awards that were questioned by the OdR. The autographed photograph he sent to me does not show him wearing the Knights Cross. I hope that this is of some help. Regards, Dick
    6. Hi Kjell, You are very welcome and I am glad that I could help. Take care. Regards, Dick
    7. Hi Kjell, This is a members stick pin for Knights Cross holders who are members of the OdR. I have one that was given to me by Heinz von Brese and at that time he said that they were ONLY for members. The only other one I have seen was for sale on eBay about a year ago. Congratulations on a nice find. Regards, Dick
    8. Hi Ralph, Those are wonderful napkin rings. I've never seen anything like them. Very nice and thanks for adding them to the thread. Lot's of history there! Regards, Dick
    9. I am so sorry. I promise that I did not take your statement as,"a cheap shot". You are very right to think as you do about HMS Victory. She is wonderful, beautiful and very important to history. I am so glad that both "She" and Constitution have survived and are still here for us to enjoy. My statement was only in an effort to "support our side and our ship". Please understand that we Americans are as proud of Constitution as you are of Victory.
    10. Hi Nick, With all due respect, I have to add that your countrymen had a much different opinion of our "Old Ironsides" back during the War of 1812! Cheers, Dick
