Just wanted to show my green menace. It seems that's the same model. I bought it as a "coastal artillery" from a dealer. It's one of my most-loved pieces :-)
Hello,
here is the badge for which I threw the dice.
It has a story behind, but I am not relying on it but only on the badge which looked OK after I got better photos.
It's weight is 4.00 grams, length 43,73 cm / 1.721 inch, width is 27,61cm / 1.102 inch
Bucheim joined U-96 in Autumn 1941, so those drawings were done before he joined the U96 team?
She (U96) was commissioned on Sep 14th 1940.
The patrol on which Bucheim joined, as it seems, was her 7th, from Oct 27th 1941 till Dec 06th 1941.
Check here, maybe you can find more info: http://www.buchheimmuseum.de/aktuell/2007/zu-tode-gesiegt.php
