I managed to find something close to. On the website thewheelmen.org, it is described as being a part of the Department of Public Parks in New York (D.P.P) and issued for bikers in the late 1884's. http://www.nycgovparks.org/about/history/bicycling: Look here, it is a long one, but it says something about it quite well. Sorry to say it probably isn't a danish one. Did your grandparents immigrate to the US? Hope this is a little help

Hello, I am interesting in buying some medal ribbons. But the thing is that I am searching for ribbons with a total width of 27 mm or 2,7 cm across. (It is standard in Denmark) Anyones got any inputs? The colors I am looking for, is RED / WHITE striped(Various versions) and plain BLUE (Darkish blue). About the ribbons on lets say the "Order of Dannebrog" What is the width of the ribbon - and the ribbon bar "Båndspænde" what is the height of the bar? Very fine collection - wish I had one that looked like
