Alpha Draconis replied to Rogi's topic in Southern European & Balkan States
Hello Rogi my friend It's a delight to see two "golden" st savas side by side! And congratulations on finally finding the maker of this beautiful gems So it's French! The boar sign was not clearly visible on first one. And for the last, you did an exceptional job by noticing the difference in saint sleeve color, thus giving the difference between type 1. and type 2.!!! There is no book with this information yet!! ;D Great job Rogi and congrats on your new edition for your collection Joseph A.D. -

Hm, Mr. Karakas maybe don't like partial badges! As for the price I have asked numerous experts, and got a price range from 18k to 28k $, but as our respected colleague Paul said, you never know on the auction if two or more enthusiast bidders "collide" the price can go even higher! Best Regards Joseph

Imperial Russia st.anna order 2 class in black enamel whith swords
Alpha Draconis replied to karakas7's topic in Russia: Imperial
Hello karakas7 You need to take better pictures of the stamp and of the enamels(different angle to see the light on enamels) I don't think that's anchor mark, it's probably an alpha sign of st. Petersbourg, but picture is bad so.... Best regards Joseph -
Hehehe, yes Rogi my friend, this was the catch of the decade!!! I wont tell other members how much I payed for this treasure, cause I don't want to increase a suicidal rate among us Just joking, of course!! ;D Keep on collecting!! ps. if anyone has an offer, or any question, please PM me, this is not a selling forum! Best regards Joseph

Hello Paul Thanks for the info! Yes, the Eduard mark should be on suspension part, but there is faint Eduard(I think) mark next to 56 mark.. I want to sell this badge, not to complete it; what do you suggest, what is the best way to sell it, and how much is it worth? Auction, British? Russian?, maybe e-bay? I never had Imperial Russian order of the White Eagle, and I know they are pretty costly for a mere mortal! As for the cost I payed, don't worry, I got it for a bargain! I forgot to put the measurements of the badge! Height 68mm, width 60mm, weight 73,35g Have a nice day! Joseph

Hello Gents Please help to determine the authenticity of this White Eagle order badge without an upper part with crown! I want to sell this badge, so please help me determine its real value! It has a minor enamel damage on white eagle chest, and has one claw reattached, otherwise in splendid condition! Has 5 marks, one on white eagle claw, two on red cross balls, and two on black two headed eagle claw, 56 and ED....( I can't reed other letters), probably EDUARD... Thanks in advance Joseph AD

Hello Dragomir Thanks for your info! I knew that there were older orders of Takovo, it was instituted 1865! So, did they start with number 1 every year, or with the reign of a King(like Milan I), or with the duration of a monarchy(like Kingdom of Serbia)? Gents I want to know is this the real price for this document(I would say no), and how many single numbered documents like this have You encountered in Your life! Thanks Joseph

Hello Gents This beautiful document belongs to my friend, and he is selling it on ebay. He priced it extremely costly (1700$)! I'm not sure that this kind of document deserves so big price, even if it is number 2. What is Your opinion gentleman? Have you ever seen Serbian document of this price or low number? I haven't! Best regards Joseph

Hello Gents Thanks for Your info! I googled a little bit about this Emin Bey, and found almost nothing! He was the Chamberlain of Sultan Abdul Hamid II who ruled the Ottoman Empire 1876-1909. So what has this Emin Bey did to king Milan I or to kingdom of Serbia to deserve Order of Takovo first class? Gents, have you seen what is the best feature on this document? Best Regards Joseph
-
Hello Gents Here we have an old certificate of order of Takovo 1st class given by king Milan I of Serbia dated 1888. Please can anyone identify the recipient, Emin Bey? Probably Turkish recipient! I'm little rusty with Cyrillic, so If anyone can translate the whole hand written part of the document, I'll be grateful (Rogi, Paja..l! Here are the pictures: Joseph

Yugoslavia Royal Yugoslav Air Force Pilot badge
Alpha Draconis replied to jovapad's topic in Southern European & Balkan States
Hello Jovapad I see none responded to your question, and I'll give a shot! Pilot Kirasić was one of the best pilots of the SHS and later in the NDH. I believe the picture is genuine, the box is genuine as well, but of Sorlini Varazdin manufacturer! About the badge, i like the engravings, like the stamps(but fake badges have stamps as well), don't like he screws, they are not of K.K. Praha manufacture.... Have you bought this lot? Best regards Joseph -
