    1. Hello Gents So we still didn't figure out is this early Huguenin or Pires of Belgium? Hm, boar head! I had Rogi order in my possession for some time, and i taught that this can be a boar head, like on many French silver medals, but the shape is not precisely like boar head stamp! And yes, there is very similar stamp on Obi order, which points out that those two orders are probably from the same producer, but Rogi type with golden saint is far more rarer, and more beautiful if I may add! I would like that we put these orders in their places in history, so if anyone has more info, share it with us!! Rogi, nice pictures!! Well done my friend! AD
    2. Hello Gentleman! Nice topic Paja! It is original Serbian gold bravery medal, "maiden" 1912 type 2! Very rare medal!! There are three types of "maiden" medals; Type 1 with inscription 1912 under the maiden, type 1 without the inscription, and type 2 with Serbian coat of arms on the reverse instead of "for bravery"! Gold plated bronze 30mm! My favorite Serbian bravery medals!! I must be some kind of feminist Best regards Joseph
    3. Hello Odulf It looks like French like to have everything in order and counted for!! Nice piece Odulf!!
    4. Thanks Claudio Nice to know this information! And yes, it's a shame the cross is not complete! Best regards Joseph
    5. Hello Gentleman I came across a Mentana cross, and need opinion on this engravings on its backside! 3050 1deL Thanks in advance AD

    8. Thanks Nick So that's why I coldn't find it in Imperial Russian medals! And this must be a fake if it is silver made? I was offered to buy it for 200$! If it was an original, is it worth 200$? Cheers Joseph
    9. Hello Gents Please help with identification of this Imperial Russian medal! It's Nicholas II period, 1912. with Alexander III monument on the reverse, and written Moscow in the obverse. Couldnt find it anywhere, even on Russian sites! If you could tell me rarity, and price range of this medal, I'll be grateful! Thanks in advance! AD
    10. If you have any more pictures, please post it!! Thanks Gentleman! Joseph AD
    11. Hello Gents... I was collecting NDH militaria, and I never knew if I have an original or a fake Croatian air legion badge!!! Some collectors said original, other fake, so I decided to clear things out!! I had aprox 5 different types, sadly I didn't took any pictures when I was younger, so I browsed the net a little bit, and I find 4 different types which I will post on this topic. I have found 3-4 bades more, but they are obvious fakes, so I wont post those! Please identifie these badges, cause I have heard there were 3 original types, two Croatian made, and one German, and two enameled and one painted version! Please contribute with your knowledge! Thanks in advance Joseph AD 1. badge
    12. Hello Chuck I'm gladd that you like humor Now seriously: He was an Imperial aviator, who become a guerilla member after(or before) October revolution, and in time become a Red army commander? I'm I close? AD
    13. Hello Chuk and the Gentleman This is a fine quiz, and a fine lot you have found!! Yes, the first item is Russian religious medallion, with Russian crown, kokoshnik 84, aldough missing a womans head, but there were marks without a head, and a markers name of VR, you should check it among impeial Russian silver marks! The pilot badge is very rare, circa 1914-18, if it is original, you hit a jackpot!! But you could check for autenticity on Gmic thread The last badge is commander of rkka circa 1920-30, but you coluld check it on page: About the quiz: The Russian guy was a religious pilot with a licence to carry a sidearm, on his time off he was a rkka commander who uses a tea spoon to fasten his black epaulets! Just kidding!! Nice catch Chuck!! Joseph
    14. Hello Gentleman A acquaintance of mine gave me these pictures, after I asked to share it with You gentleman! I like rare and unusual war relics(as we all do ) so I give you a Kingdom of Yugoslavia naval observer certificate and a photo of the officer, corvette lieutenant, mr. Rudolf I would like to know how many naval observers were in Kindom of Yugoslavia? And how many certificates still exist! Do any of You gents have one? Mr. Tod, from Rathbone museum said that he has a number 96 badge. This is number 56. I had a few KK praha and Sorlini pilot badges, some were a good fakes as well, hehe, but never naval observer! Enjoy! Joseph
    15. Thanks Rogi to keep this thread running I hope you'll find some nice truths that this order is hiding, and share it with this Gentleman Keep on collecting!! Joseph
    16. Hello Paja You have missunerstand me, I said that I don't have any oher st sava to compare mine with! My macro is aparently not good, everything is blurry! Look Gents, I'm not here to sell the order at any cost, I'm only trying to determine its origin, and to find it a home of st sava collector! Rogi, if you want, I'll send you this Sava, and you can make better pictures, and test it under microscope? Then if you like it you can pay what I payed for it, if you don't you send it back! I think this is ste best solution to resolve the problem! Rogi if you are interested in this option send me your address via pm.
    17. Hello Gents I taught that Paja displayed Obi picture as a Piret version! Now I see it is a early Huguenin! So, if the early Huguenin has that halmark which is identical to mine, that makes my order early Huguenin? Comon guys, lets find this lad a birthplace!!! Do you have any Piret picture? I havent seen any to compare it with mine! The picture I found on the net and posted it is probably early Huguenin as well! I tought it was Piret, cause I tought Obi version is Piret! The third class order is a Sorlini Varazdin, pictures are not mine, I have asked a former owner to send me these pictures for comparision, I don't have St. Sava at the moment...

Everything is the same, wide crown, narrow eagles, font of the letters, number on the back, all except the saint! So only question, in my opinion, is it the original painted saint, or a remake? My opinion is that this is original from manufacturer, becouse Rogi saw more of these golden painted saint orders, and I have seen one more. And the white enamels where Sava is painted is identicly white as on the back, where the number is, so it was not a replacement! Rogi, you said that there are similarities to Huguenin, but there is none, here are the pictures with two Huguenins!!! They couldnt be more different!! There is a mark(stamp) on Obi picture, which is Pires mark, and the identical mark is on my order! So it's not a copy! I would like, for you Gentleman, that you could see it in person, it has a lovely patina!! I don't have a good camera, cause I'm not a seller. My phone is more than enougf for my hobby. Yes Rogi, I collected NDH orders, but now I only search for tricky items like this one!! Enjoy the pictures, Gents! Rogi, you'll change your mind when you se how different this order is from any other Sava you have!!
