    1. Hi everyone - another recent pick up - a tunic for a generalstabsingenieur - the highest rank in the ingenieurkorps. Thanks for looking! BC
    2. Hi all - it's been quite a while between updates, but here's one I picked up a while back - a tunic for a generalingenieur - a rather hard one to come by, I think? Cheers, BC
    3. Agree completely! Hi Bill - great to see you are still active. I have sent you a message, let me know when you've received it. Cheers, BC
    4. Hi all - some new additions. A single tab for a Beamte auf Kriegsdauer, Major equivalent (I am after a pair of these, if anyone has any leads please let me know!) Second is a set of boards in cellophane for what appears to be an ingenieurkorps Generalingenieur. The weave of the cords is a little loose, but this is not unusual. The backing on these is an interesting colour, more carmine than pink, but it matches some of the other tabs that I have. I have found that general officer insignia in this branch seems to have varied in colour more so than the other officer ranks. Cheers, BC
    5. Some great documents, thanks for posting them - let me know if you'd ever consider parting with them, it would be lovely to reunite them with the tunic. Thanks again! BC
    6. Though I mostly focus on Luftwaffe engineers these days, I haven't been able to resist a couple of visor purchases of late.... Keep the pioneer stuff coming! Cheers, BC
    7. Hi everyone – here is another addition – a white summer tunic for a Luftwaffe Stabsingenieur. This one is made from a soft ribbed silk-like material. It is very soft, and very light weight. The insignia is all removable, including the collar tabs, which are held on by snaps (the tabs fit the snaps perfectly, and the snaps are not sewn through both layers of the collar, which gives me confidence that they have been with the tunic for a very long time). It is not named. This is only the second summer tunic for this branch that I have seen. Thanks! BC
    8. Hi all - I managed to twist MH's arm to part with his Fliegerbluse Thanks MH! Glad to have added it to my ingenieurkorps collection. Here are some extra pics. Cheers, BC
    9. Hi all - some more recent pick ups. Firstly, this tunic for a fliegeroberingenieur. Unfortunately it is not named, but everything shows consistent wear and it looks like the insignia has been there forever. It is of a rather small size. Next up is a pair of breeches for a generalingenieur. You can see that the colour is ingenieurkorps and not General Staff. Lastly is this tab, for an NCO, essentially an engineering officer cadet. Unfortunately it is only the one and not a pair. Cheers, Brad
    10. Hi all - a comment over in the Luftwaffe Ingenieurkorps thread (see here) led me to raise a topic on Heer Pioneer / Engineer uniform items. To kick this one off, here are a number of uniform items that I own (or used to own) before I turned my focus to Luftwaffe Engineers: Feel free to post your own Heer Pioneer / Engineer items! Cheers, Brad C
    11. Some beautiful tunics MH - just sent you a message Thanks Ostprussenmann for your kind words on my tunic. Unfortunately the name tag was removed so I can’t research the history. A wound badge would make sense, I agree. A pilots badge is also a possibility. Before I collected Luftwaffe ingenieurkorps I collected Heer pioneer uniforms. I still have a few tunics and visors which I could post in another thread if there isn’t one already? cheers, Brad
    12. And another acquisition - a tunic for a flieger-hauptingenieur. Slowly working my way towards a tunic of each of the standard ranks - it's a lofty ambition, but technically I am half way...! Cheers, Brad C
    13. Hi all, Just acquired this one – a tunic for a Flieger-Stabsingenieur. The tunic unfortunately is not named. It is in good condition – a few moth nips but the insignia still looks very sharp. The pink and blue really do look good together! See the link below for more pictures: http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/showthread.php?p=7861019#post7861019 Cheers, Brad C
    14. Some minor new additions to keep this thread ticking over: The Major's tabs have snaps on the back which suggests that they were on a summer uniform at some stage. Cheers, BC
    15. Hi all - just stumbled on this. If it's of interest, I own one of his tunics. A Holters waffenrock that was re-tailored. It's one of my favourites And the label it came with - Anyone have any other items of his or further research on his career? Cheers, Brad C
    16. I was able to purchase this set of tabs recently, a lovely set for a fligergeneralingenieur. These tabs at some point in their life got wet, which has rippled the material slightly. The wonderful thing about these to my eye are the mix of the gold bullion and celleon thread; the tarnishing of the bullion showing up in stark contrast to the bright celleon. This gives these tabs some wonderful character. And by way of comparison: I now only have one more set of tabs (senior sonderfuhrer) to obtain to get the complete set of tabs (boards on the other hand for the general ranks still elude me....) Cheers, BC
    17. Hi everyone, I have been searching for tunics for this branch for quite I while and I am very pleased to now own two. The first is a tunic for a fliegeringenieur – this one looks like it has seen some service and was possibly re-issued, as it exhibits wear and signs of having the arms lengthened plus some other tailoring. The insignia looks to be all period applied. The tunic is very small! The second is a lovely fliegeroberingenieur. This one is in excellent condition and shows little service wear. Again all insignia looks period applied. I am very happy to now own a couple of tunics in this branch. My long term aspiration is to own one of each rank. A man can dream! Thanks,
    18. Hi everyone – latest acquisition is a well worn Luftwaffe officer’s sidecap, named to a G Kirsch. According to the Luftwaffe career summaries, Kirsch was a Luftwaffe hauptingenieur, so I had to display the cap with some boards and tabs I wonder if it was a co-incidence that his name appears to have been written in pink...? Cheers BC
    19. Hi everyone – have picked up a few more bits and pieces of late: First up an eagle and a fliegerhauptingenieur der reserve board. I picked the board up on ebay for 30 euros. I guess no one knew what it was: Next up, a set of fliegeringenieur auf kriegsdauer tabs, and a board (regrettably only a single) with the pink underlay: Some T boards for the summer tunic for a fliegeroberingenieur and fligerhauptingenieur: Two sets of boards for a fliegerhauptingenieur, both in unworn condition with the smaller pips: A very salty and well worn set of boards for a fliegeroberstingeniuer. These ones look to be cottage made but I have no doubts that they are the real thing: Boards for a fliegeroberstabsingenieur, and for a fliegeroberstingeniur: I now finally have the complete set for the regular officer ingenieurkorps ranks up to the general ranks. I still will be on the hunt for boards and tabs of better quality and condition, as well as for a tunic (one day…!). I intend ultimately on setting up a display board with all of the tabs and boards, once I have them. I still need to get hold of the generalingenieur boards and tabs, plus some more of the a.K boards and tabs. I think it may take me a while to get the last few…! Cheers, BC
