    1. Not the clearest photo, but note the RAF LSGC top right and OSM bottom left.
    2. Royal Gibraltar Police have also now begun being issued with Overseas Territories Police Long Service & Good Conduct Medal bearing the King’s effigy.
    3. First example, I’ve seen. Nice to see them finally being issued!!! (*Kent Constabulary)
    4. The detective prefix, is certainly becoming more common. This one was issued yesterday (4th April 2024) by Essex Constabulary the officer having qualified in August 2023. (*note is still bears the Queen’s effigy).
    5. That’s certainly a very curious example. Would be interested to learn which effigy it is.
    6. Another example issued in March 2024 to an Officer from Kent Constabulary. (Officer having qualified in September 2022).
    7. The first WSMs will be presented early this summer to a representative sample of recipients, with the medal enter mass production in the autumn, when it will be issued more widely.
    8. There has been much discussion regarding the naming of Australian Police LSGC medals. It is challenging to attach any rules to it. There are also at least two known examples of LSGC’s to Queensland Police that were issued unnamed. Below are some examples.
    9. In medal collecting, you can never have too much information. So I thought it might be handy to have this for future reference. Below image referenced from Clive Johnson’s book Australian's Awarded.
    10. The Wider Service Medal (WSM) medal, which has been approved by HM The King, recognises Armed Forces personnel and civilians working outside the traditional criteria of existing operational medals.
    11. The Border Force and Immigration Enforcement Long Service and Good Conduct Medal is awarded under strict eligibility criteria. Staff who retired before the 1st January 2022 are unfortunately not eligible. The 1st January 2022 date was chosen to coincide with the receipt of the Royal Warrant of Appointment in June 2021.
    12. Information concerning this award, is pretty much nonexistent, to say the least! Curious also how it isn’t even mentioned in the October 23, effigy announcement by gov.uk? https://www.gov.uk/government/news/six- ... e-revealed
    13. Further information has come to light which might be of interest? Apparently there is no E11R version of this medal, all recipients will received a C111R regardless of whether they qualified under E11R. Also there is another presentation ceremony scheduled in for the 1st May.
