    1. Yes, it is mentioned. I guess this one would fit: Oberstleutnant (E) 01.03.38 THOMA Siegfried (Stab 3.Armee Korps) Oberst (01.04.41)
    2. Better pics. The yellow ribbon is actually the Long Service Award for 25 Years. The stripes almost vanished completely but can be seen up close. The blue ribbon with stripes is indeed the 1913 Balkan War Medal.
    3. Thanks Johan! I found an "Accesionsnummer" which dates to 1949, so this is probably the date of the photo. Regarding the promotion dates I found: In 1934 he was a Captain Very likely Major in the late 1930s 00.00.1945 Lieutenant-Colonel 00.00.1946 Colonel Source: "The family von Mehren"
    4. Brilliant! Thanks for the extensive research. He retired in 1960 from his position of Commander of the WRC and died in 1985. Marriage with Edith Ingeborg von Mehren in 1934. Do you have his promotion dates as well?
    5. Fantastic work, thanks so much! I found a photo of him, probably in the 1950s, as Commander of the Western Regional Commando. Can anyone ID the breast star?
    6. Thanks that would be great. Width of the ribbons: 35mm: first, fourth, sixth, ninth and eleventh ribbon 30mm: fifth ribbon 25mm: the rest
    7. Hello, I just bought this interesting danish ribbon bar with many foreign awards. Is my interpretation correct? Dannebrog, Dannebrog, Cross of Honour? Danish Medal? Norway, Order of St. Olav Finland, Order of the Cross of Liberty or Denmark, Medal for Long Service as Reserve Officer? France, Order of the Legion of Honour or Finland, Order of the Lion of Finland? Danish Medal of the Red Cross? Danish Reserveofficer Medal? Sweden, Order of the Sword Russia, Order of St. Stanislaus or a danish medal? Turkey, Order of Osmanie or Belgium, Military-Cross? I think an ID could be possible. What do you think? Best regards, Nicolas
    8. Thank you very much Igor! A shame the first ribbon is missing.
    9. Hello, I just purchased this romanian ribbon bar. Some ribbons are still unclear to me. Is my interpretation correct? ??? Order of the Crown with Swords? (device missing) Medal for Manhood and Loyalty with Swords War Cross 1916-1918 Cross of Queen Marie (1917-1938) Victory Medal of the Allies 1914-18 Medal for the Balkan war 1913 Russia, St. Stanislaus Russia, Cross of St. George Best regards Nicolas
    10. Thank you very much. From 1936 to 1940 Ullersperger was Commander of Pionierbataillon 7 which participated in the Anschluß, so he very likely received an Anschlußmedaille as well. A pretty detailed history of PB 7 can be found here.
    11. Thanks Dave! The missing jubilee medal and Anschluss medals in combination with the Tyrol medal and no ÖM3K narrow it down quite a bit but it seems to not be enough. Tricky. Alright here are two good ones, both in the Alpenkorps. GM Wilhelm Ullersperger (maybe wrong devices as he got a BM4XmKr) GL Wilhelm Raithel
    12. I am rather sure this ribbon bar I just bought belongs to the bar posted by Paul. Note the hole in the EK ribbon for the Spange. Rather difficult to find a match, but my current favourite candidate is later GL Julius Braun. Joined 1913: No Luitpold, 1914-1918 mostly Gebirgskanonen-Abteilung 10, during the wars Reichswehr and 1939-1945 Divisionskommandeur. It would be interesting to know if Braun received any Anschluss medals and the Tyrol medal.
    13. 5th ribbon: Ehrenzeichen des Bayerischen Landesvereins vom Roten Kreuz 2. Klasse 6th ribbon: I agree, DRK/Volkspflege.
    14. Very nice bar. 14) and 22) are Jubilee Medals as well. There are several possibilities.
