    1. Thank you very much, Simi. I was hoping, that it could be ID'ed, as there are award rolls for all awards, except for the HH and the EK. Best regards, Nicolas
    2. Pierce and Jason, Thank you very much for your kind comments. It is much appreciated. Best regards, Nicolas
    3. Hello! Although, I dont really like buttonhole miniatures that much , this combination was just so nice I had to get it. I would love to hear your opinion about this piece! No LS or any jubilee medals on this one. Best regards, Nicolas
    4. Glenn, That is an amazing photo. Thank you so much! The placement of the OK2 on his medal bar is different than on my ribbon bar. Not a problem, I hope? Best regards, Nicolas
    5. Thank you, Daniel. That sounds excellent! Finally one of my first ribbon bars got a name I could find three pictures of Mohr, online: Bild 1: Unter-Roßarzt Emil Mohr beim Ulanen-Regiment Nr. 2 um 1890/91. Bild 2: Als (Unter-?) Roßarzt beim Westf. Husaren-Regiment Nr. 11 in Crefeld um 1892. Bild 3: Als Stabs-Veterinär bei dem oben genannten Husaren-Regiment um 1912. The last photo shows him with his pre-war medal bar with RAO4, KO4, DA and Centenary Medal. Am I correct that General-Oberveterinär is similiar to Oberstleutnant rankwise? Best regards, Nicolas
    6. He is a Colonel in this particular photo. I sadly don't know, if he was awarded the HEK2a later on.
    7. Hi Pierce, I tried it a while ago, but the guy didn't fit. One suspect, who was found by Dave, was Generalleutnant August von Geyso. He fits perfectly, except that he got an HEK2b. Maybe he chose to not wear it on his ribbon bar? Best regards Nicolas
    8. Hello all, I would like to show you this ribbon bar, which I have in my collection for quite some time now, as I am still thinking there is a chance for identification. The second to last ribbon could be an OV or OK2, in my opinion. Best regards, Nicolas
    9. Thank for your additional comments, thoughts and numbers, Daniel and Laurentius! Here is a ribbon bar from my collection, which features a MVK 3rd Class with added swords on the ribbon. Daniel, very interesting to know, that the award numbers are so low for Saxony.
    10. Thank you very much for the clarifications and for checking your sources, Daniel. In this case the Austrian Merit Cross can be ruled out, I guess. Regarding the Iron Crown, I just don't know, what else this ribbon could be... I don't really have a bad feeling with this bar, though. Best, Nicolas
    11. Gentlemen, Thank you very much for your replies! Don, thanks for the suggestion. This medal is definitely a possibility. Ribbon and the placement on the bar look very promising. Spolei, thank you! Indeed, you are right. The Order of the Iron Crown makes more sense. About the device on the austrian ribbon: I do not have seen this crown device on that kind of ribbon before. The explanation of FAR32 makes sense to me. Maybe the award I attached as a photo is the one in question? All the Best, Nicolas
    12. Sounds good, danke dir Daniel! It is interesting to see that most of these officials ended up in fairly low ranks in comparison to their sometimes very long serving time.
    13. I would like to bring this old thread to the top again, as I still believe there is a chance for an ID. Furthermore, I am still unsure which exact classes of the BMVO/BMVK are represented on this bar? In addition to that the sixth ribbon looks like the Swedish Order of the Sword to me. Best regards, Nicolas
    14. Very nice and well-made medal bar. I have a similiar "Zahlmeister" type of ribbon bar from Anhalt. Any chance for an ID here? Best regards Nicolas
    15. That Iron Cross device is really neat. Here is a ribbon bar, which belonged to a Hauptmann d.R. , who participated in Bandenkampf:
