Thanks for your advice on my old coat, if it is a livery uniform then it will be virtually impossible to identify and find the correct buttons.

I've just acquired this old coat, I think it dates from the George II period, does anyone know if it is a military jacket or a civilian coat. Is it English or continental , The buttons have sadly been removed so I would like to try and source the correct buttons if possible . would appreciate any suggestions , thanks
