Afternoon all,
trying to get a bit more meat on the bones with my family history and have seen basic cards for my Great Grandfather who was 20th Hussars (5150 Frank Shirley L/Cpl at start then on to Sgt) and CofHussars (47835 Frank Shirley). I'm working my way through the War Diaries however wondering if anyone has any other advises or information they may be able to share that could help me get some more? I seem to recall family confirming he was posted to Dublin pre great war and shows on census too in 1911 so guessing that's the 1908-1911 posting? not sure where else to go after this however so any thoughts or advises would really be appreciated. Was classified reservist Class Z 25/2/19 so guessing that puts him service roughly 14 years with his Enlisted from 12 May 1905 to 5 Sept 1906
