Hi Guys, just a wee bit of info, the ERII badge on the first set signifies that the wearer was Equerry to the Queen. I have a Kings Crown set to a RNZAF Air commodore who was also an Equerry to Queen Elizabeth II, this pair i have are still attached to the Tropical Mess jacket he wore Cheers Paul

Gents....Behold!!! the bar is assembled finally! Doesn't it look great! and a fitting tribute to a brave Sepoy who died fighting for his country in Burma. Also attached is his Memoriam from the Commonwealth War Graves site. Enjoy! Paul

Nice to see you are on this particular slippery slope there Pat! LOL Ed, Sorry to be picky...but New Zealanders did not get their medals stamped with their names...a great pity that.. Australians, Indians, And south africans did so did the ( not 100% sure here) Rhodesians and Canadians. Darrell!, nice to see the full set...i need the ACE myself.... have 7 so far... Have the 1939-45, Burma, Africa( with 1st and 8th army bars),and the Italy Stars mounted in Groups all are attributed to South African, a NZer, and a British soldiers. Have a group to the Englishman, missing the North Africa 1942-3 bar Am hoping to get a Navy bar soon with a Pacific Star with Burma bar. Gawd! these are positively Awfull! the mind boggles! How do they possibly think that they can get away with selling this tripe?? I mean those sort of bars ( Size wise) would command serious money, and those who spend this sort of money know what they are buying...and would not touch these with a 100 foot barge pole! This wee group has surfaced down here on our local Trademe site... Comprising of 4 medals to a Pakistani chap. here is some info from the seller... A good Pakistan group of 4 medals on an old court mounting. The medals are the Independence Medal (1947) (wrong ribbon), The Wiliadat-I-Quaid-I-Azim Medal (the founder of Pakistan -like a coronation medal) 1976, The Hijri Medal 1979, and another I have not identified yet. The first medal is impressed to 199 F C BAQIR KHAN (I assume it is Foot Constable or Frontier Constable) If anyone wants this group...i will be happy to help. Cheers Paul

So being a pakistani punjab, we can safely assume his entitlement for WWII would be un-named. I may just assemble his entitlement to honour this fallen soldier. Thanks Michael, you are amazing! So My Sepoy was Fighting in India Ben Nevis?? is this a place or battle? He was killed in action 28/05/1944 where? How do you know where he served? like Burma etc... Would his other medals have been named?? or just this IGS? If i were to assemble his entitlement...where would the iGS sit? at the front or back of the bar? Great stuff! thats the 3rd casualty medal i have picked up in the last couple of weeks! and unknowingly too! i am pleased indeedly! and a nice IGS from 1936 Named to a Sepoy ALLAH DAD 1-16 Punjabi R.

and here we have a couple of Volunteer Long service medals One a Victorian and one an Edwardian the Edwardian medal is named to 2803 C.SJT:W.GARDENER 17/MIDDX:V.R.C It even still has the silver mounting brooch on it..so must have been a single entitlement. The Victorian one is mint but un-named.

and this fine group! To a W.Farley WPMR the QSA/KSA are renamed...but its a nice group which was lovingly worn and polished. He served with the ASC in WW1 in France
