    1. Hi, I have a similar pair of boots which I originally purchased as WW2 U-Boat boots but I have since found out they aren't WW2, I wonder then if they aren't WW1 U-Boat boots based on the similarity to this set of boots? Regards Steve
    2. Hi all, I just bought these three at an auction and was hoping someone might be able to provide some advice on how to identify whether they are original. I am pretty sure these used to be stuck to a display board at a local Returned Services Club and have been sold off under new management. All three of these vessels spent time in the Pacific so it is not surprising to find them together as a group even though I would have thought they were quite rare. The material is the same type of silk as British WW2 and earlier tallies and is done with gold thread which seems to have an interior core of yellow thread. Any help greatly appreciated, If Odulf is out there and knows about these I would like to hear from him as his response to a question on how to identify WW2 and earlier tallies was most helpful. Reverse I forgot to also say that if anyone knows the best way to remove glue from the back of these that would also be helpful.
