I am the Treasurer of the Rhodesian African Rifles Regimental Association. The RAR - formed in 1940 - was the successor regiment to the Rhodesia Native Regiment, which was disbanded after the end of WW1. The RAR Queen's Colour includes the battle honour of the RNR "East Africa 1916-1918". (See the image.)
The Association recently built an award-winning memorial to the RNR and RAR at the NMA in Staffordshire. (See the image.)
I understand Mervyn is no longer with us, but would anyone know the current whereabouts of the RNR Colour?
Kind regards
