Well I got lucky I picked up a FN FAL Portuguese's from a sight called The Collectors Site.No luck with the AR 10 but I did pick up a G3 witch also a battle rifle that the Portuguese's also use.I am still looking for field gear and webbing help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks octave.

Hello I am trying to put together a display of a Portuguese soldier from the Angola Mozambique time frame,I have the uniform and some webbing although I could use more field gear.My main problem is the rifle,I have a AR 10 but its Sudanese.I would prefer a Portuguese FN how hard are these to come by?Any help with field gear or the rifle would be appreciated.

What your uncle had was a Foreign Service Model Colt 1911 British RAF contract S/N W 91,00 to W110696 Jan 22 1918 to April 28 1919 Approx 10,000 pistols were shipped to the Royal Air Force.

Thanks to James and Chris for putting anouther urban myth to rest, as to the South African FN if anyone can point me in the direction of one I would appreciate it. I am in the putting the final touchs on a South African Bush trooper and all I need now is the South African FN to make it complete. Cheers Chris.

Quite intresting at first I thought it was a model with a built in hammer shroud, but reading futher down I relised I was wrong. Thanks for the picture always nice to see something different.
