    1. Yes, the screw plate resembles a 1st class screw plate extremely well, but as I recall it was not entirely the same as my 1st class screw plate. I can make a side by side photo next week. But, indeed it's quite a coincidence... Maybe all 3rd class stars in that range got issued with this type of screw plate? Thanks for your kind words :-) Invite me in Belgrade for a beer, so we can talk about Partizan stars! lol Kind regards, Gerd V Oh, before I forgot. I cannot read cyrillian. How do you know a star was offered to a Sovjet serviceman?
    2. Here are my documented stars so far 1. 3rd class (2480), with replacement screw plate 2. 3rd class (4999) with box. 2nd Class (1543) That's all folks! Hope you like them too
    3. Very interesting research by Eric! Thank you very much. Good to know that the 3rd class IKOM star are actually made of silver. The question remains if they are legid. And what to think of these now :-p
    4. Hi, Let's suppose most of the 3rd class IKOM stars would be recent fakes... Then, shouldn't we rather expect the 'silver hallmarks' be part of the mold, and be identically positioned the same on every copy? It would be a lot faster and easier, and wouldn't require these to be done manually at the end of the production process? Unless they would remake them the very same way as the 'originals', being literally 'later productions'? Kind regards, Gerd V
    5. How can one see whether it's solid gold, whether it is gilted? Kind regards, Gerd V
    6. Very nice, Mario! Congrats Kind regards, Gerd V Yes sir, it is a box for an Star with pin. Does anyone know how much an honest price would be? I can propose the seller this price and buy it in that condition, alas :-( PM's with suggestions are welcome. Kind regards, Gerd V
    7. Hi friends, I've recenty bought this empty Partizan Star box on Ebay which was in perfect condition... When I got it, it was just packed in a foamed envelope (not in a box), and was wrapped in some paper. Dispite all that, the box was severly damaged :-(( I contacted the seller and he immediately refunded all my money. As I think these boxes are quite rare, I proposed to check what the remaining collectible value is, and propose him this price. Up to the seller to agree or not. Else I will send it back. As you can see, ALL the seams on the box has ripped and split...It must have been crushed in the mail under the weight of all the other packages and letters... It's such a shame as I'm sure this is rare: a 2nd class silver IKOM star is rare... Not to mention it's box in perfect condition... :(( What would be the remaining value of the sale price? 25%?? Kind regards, Gerd V
    8. Oh damm I placed in the wrong threat... It's a box for a yugoslav star of course... Mod: could you please delete my last posts. I'll retype in the right topic. Sorry!
