  1. Franc-tireur medal/badge?

Hello all, Is there somebody that could tell me more about this medal/badge? I believe that it has something to do with the Légion étrangère. Here is also a photo of a former Legionair, who is wearing this medal/badge: http://nl.wikipedia....wiki/Jean_Krans (here they mention the badge as the badge of Franc-tireurs). Any help is appreciated!
  2. Franc-tireur medal/badge?

A relative of Jean Krans asked me if I knew what kind of badge it is. The idea of the French Foreign Legion is based on this sentence from the wikipedia site: "Hij noemde zich voortaan Jean en droeg dageljks het insigne van de franc-tireurs, een gouden doodskopje, als dasspeld onder zijn kin." Roughly translated: From now on he called himself Jean and wore daily the isignia of the Franc-Tireurs (a golden skull) as lapel pin under his chin. I have no further thoughts about the badge because it is not my area of interest, I'm just trying to help someone solving a mystery.
  3. Masonic badges and medals - Collector's books

"Clausen's commentaries on Morals and Dogma" also shows insignia (as drawings) of the different grades of the Scottish Rite. An online version of the book can be found on the website of the Masonic museum and libary of Phoenix: http://www.phoenixmasonry.org/clausens_commentaries/text.htm

  14. The "silbernes Verdienstkreuz" looks like the early version of this Dutch house order: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_the_House_of_Orange The version shown on wikipedia is the most common type. I don't have any picture here of the old type.

  21. Netherlands cap badge

It is the badge that belongs to the "Regiment Huzaren Prins Alexander" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regiment_Huzaren_Prins_Alexander Or are the sides not red but orange? If they are orange, it is a badge from the "Regiment Huzaren Prins van Oranje" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regiment_Huzaren_Prins_van_Oranje
