Thank you for this interesting topic!!
Some of the medals look like cheap pins, for example the CHERNOGOLOVKA medal.

Is there anyone with more information? I couldn't find anything (even when I use the information that Christopher gave me).
Many thanks in advance!

Ah, I didn't saw that topic. Thank you for posting the link.
But can somebody tell me more about this statement:
and there seems to be a US connection - at presentIs it only "awarded" in the US? I thought it was a worldwide used insignia.

The "silbernes Verdienstkreuz" looks like the early version of this Dutch house order: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_the_House_of_Orange
The version shown on wikipedia is the most common type. I don't have any picture here of the old type.

It is the badge that belongs to the "Regiment Huzaren Prins Alexander"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regiment_Huzaren_Prins_Alexander
Or are the sides not red but orange? If they are orange, it is a badge from the "Regiment Huzaren Prins van Oranje"

You are an excellent photographer with a wonderfull collection!
How did you made the black "pillows" for your medals: http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_08_2008/post-3254-1220038739.jpg , if I may ask?

Maybe you know it. Is there a good (english) reference work for Iraqi orders, decorations and medals?
Nice additions to your collection!

You have really an outstanding collection! For how many years do you collect Iraqi militaria?

Now to the few items I have... first, a couple of Kivalo Dolgozo badges (one of the Rakosi period and one of the late Kadar period) and a Stakhanovist badge from 1953.
Are there more versions? And is there a list with all the versions?
Many thanks in advance.

"Clausen's commentaries on Morals and Dogma" also shows insignia (as drawings) of the different grades of the Scottish Rite.
An online version of the book can be found on the website of the Masonic museum and libary of Phoenix: http://www.phoenixmasonry.org/clausens_commentaries/text.htm
