    1. Evening gents,i would like to know what you thinkof this parka,it was given to me by my father who says he got it of the owner whilst a prisoner in scotland,it has been in my loft for all the time i have had it(he gave it to me 25 yrs ago)this is what got me into third reich collecting, but now i am moving and will be clearing out my old stuff as i now collect imp medal bars. I know people dont like to talk about money but it would be nice to know a ball park figure for it Thanks in advance Dave
    2. Evening Gents, could you please tell me if this eagle is good, bought it back in the eighties and am having a good sort out. Thanks for your help Dave
    3. Evening gentlemen, Been having a sort out ,i have some heer ss and police eagles i bought way back in the eighties (most through catalouges before seeing) before the net!, as my interests lie elsewhere now i would like to find out if they are good or not . I have looked at lots of posts but i still cannot see the difference between good or bad, i would presume they are bad. Hope some kind soul can cast an expert eye over them. Also which is the best size to use for the pictures? Regards Dave
    4. Thanks Sergey Guess this must have been taken in 45 when he took a position on the allied commission. Dave
    5. Thanks for all your help gentlemen,my eyes are not what they used to be but i am sure it's a 4.....hope the pic is ok but the mark is not that easy to see. (i make it about 44mm) Once again thank you very much Dave
    6. Been looking carefully at this, still cannot make out the mark properly....could this be a 4 Dave
    7. Nice bar Emanuel,I only have one bav,not as nice as yours though! mine has been through the wars a bit Dave
    8. Thanks gents for the info,we have a bit of a mystery>. The man marked is a member of my wifes family(the family knew i was into medals so his sister gave left them to me) The man in question led a strange life he was born in russia his name Edward Clively(father was a diplomat i think) he was in the middx reg as a sjt (g100570 on the gt war medals). I also have a letter from a rear admiral putting him up for a position with the allied control commision dated march 1945.His sister did say that he was in russia during some sort of famine...i think that would have been about 1922. Would he have been in the navy then, and someone has marked the back of the photo wrong? Unfortunatly the sister passed away before i could ask her much about him and i have not been able to find out about his ww2 service. I dont want to just shove all his stuff in a box and just let him slip into history like so many others Thanks for your help ...Dave
    9. Im pretty sure that its not! the chap that is marked,is a sub that was in the rnvr during the second world war. During the first he was in the middex reg (i have his medals)but i can see where you are coming from (esp all them dodgy tashes)
    10. Afternoon gentlemen, Just sorting through some of my British stuff and came across some old photos. This one is dasted russia 1940 and was wondering if any of you photo chaps can see anything bof interest as its not really my bag.(They came with some medals i have) Thanks Dave
