Hi, there is the medal year book published by token publishing ltd. website www.tokenpublishing.com. this lists virtually all medals issued in the uk with values. hope this helps Ian

I have 4 lead weighted in my collection including one where the weight is loose in a hole within the truncheon and moves when it is used. more common are the ones with a metal band usually brass around the top where engraving was done. eg crown and WR GR Or VR. But none of these are to a police force but in some cases to a town etc. Ian -

Hi Zozo, can I ask why you think that it is a military police truncheon. I have have one decorated the same but without the WH which is definatly from the Staffordshire Police. Any chance of a picture it would help in dating it.. Ian

Watch out for repro tins there are a lot about. I saw a dealer with 5 for sale recently. At least he was selling them as repro at £ 5 each. Ian -

Odulf The WAPC badge is not Air Force. It is for the Womens Auxilary Police Corps. They were the Women Police during WW11. Pre war only a few forces had women police officers. Ian
