    15. This group in my collection is from what i have found out about is unique as he was awarded a MC, MM as well the Order of St Anne 3rd class with swords and the only person to hold this cobination C

Hello all I have recently acquired a QSA award to a Pte in the Gordon Highlanders and on his Medal card it said he was attached to the 23rd Mounted Infantry I am looking for more information on this unit, I am lead to believe that most arriving British regiments into SA had to convert a battalion into a MI unit, is that correct kind reegards C
