Guest luckyoldpig Posted June 6, 2005 Share Posted June 6, 2005 Hi bigjarofwasps,In answer to your query the RAF Police were formed at the same time the RAF was ie 1/4/1918 the police dog section was formed later in 1948, there was no police section of the Royal flying Corps as such but the RFC was a division of the Royal Engineers so policing would have been part of the Army responsibilities.If you want more details of RAF Police history there is a website with most information: www.alliesinwar. com/history_of_the_raf-police Hope you find this information useful.
