The other lot on the current auction also has unpleasant nature: shoulder-boards pair of sub-ensign (podpraporshik) of the 48th Infantry Odesski Rgt of the Emperor Alexander I is undoubtedly a modern build-up using a set of probably original insignia and original lace stripes.

The Viborg regiment has as colonel the German Kaiser ? The Narva Regiment too if I am not wrong , and the last one fought in Tannenberg.

All Cossack units had silver lace, however there were two shades of blue. Light blue (svetlo-sinie) was designated for Tersky Cossacks and dove - blue (golubie) was designated for Orenburg Cossacks. I have checked Tersky Cossacks had 152nd regiment ( 152-й Терский казачий полк ).
