    Ahmet Cemal Pasha (Midilli Island May 6th 1872- Tiflis/Georgia July 21st 1922)

    Turkish Soldier and Free Mason

    Commander of 4th Army at Palastine and Syria during WW1 and Naval Minister.

    Graduated from War Academy as Staff Captain in 1895.

    Although he was a protector of Armenians in Syria and Palastine he was assassinated by Armenians in Tiftis while wolkin with his 2 aid officers Sureyya Bey and Nusret Bey. The officers were also killed. Their bodies were taken by 15th Army Corps Commander Kazim Karabekir Pasha who was a Turkish Free Mason also, to Erzurum and buried besides the grave of Hafiz Ismail Hakki Pasha who died of epidemy during WW1.
