 that pierced Wound Badge as the center device on your 1920s bow. Never seen one that large or  -- usually they're smaller, solid, on Hindenburg Cross Xs from the 1930s.

I have posted these before, but it seems appropriate to put them up on this thread. At the high end...

Hello Mike Dwyer and --dj--Joe,

Thank you for the kind words; I am glad that you enjoyed my two latest posts. We have managed to assemble quite a spectacular display of minis here; and I would like to thank all who have contributed - very informative. Going through this thread, I noticed that most of what we have posted (with the exception of Andreas? spectacular barette in posts 70 & 71) is relatively young; so I thought that it might be appropriate to add some old timers.

First, is a Bavarian cross for 1813, 1813, 1815.

16 mm... Imagine!

RAO, thank you for posting this piece, especially in the large format. Here we have an outstanding example of the incredible workmanship to be found in some of the high end minis.

It looks as though the black crosses are separately soldered to the main body (red cross); but, of course this is not possible... or is it? Then there is the finishing work of the gold suspension crest.

Very impressive, thanks for the post.

I think it is possible, the black crosses are separately. ;o) If you remember me than you can look for that piece in Gunzenhausen and

if they are separately pay you a beer if not pay I one beer. Best Regards Mike
