A few persons to identify - if possible

    Recommended Posts

Got a photo today and maybe somebody can help with some names:

Now details of the persons in question

The place looks like somewhere in Bavaria, mountains and a lake in the background.

Also possible is a big river, like the Rhein or the Mosel with hills and steam-ships.

The event was for sure a funeral, at least two priests are on the photo.

There is no description, no place and no date on the back.

Maybe some persons can be identified.

The old general sitting at the left has a neck decoration. The soldier with the steel-helmet who looks a bit like von Epp has a Max-Josephs Orden (as far as I can tell that).

All spike-helmets seem to be prussian.

Thanks a lot in advance for any help.

    Regards

    Robert

All the people--even the local SA and the clergyman at far left--with medals are Prussians, but this is TOO blurry, even for me, to see what the combinations are clearly.

    Prussians... mountains... steam ships....

Hmmmm. If the focus had been better, the Standarte number on the SA collar tabs would tell us where this was.

Ah! Can you zoom in on the very young SS man standing behind the clergyman? I ALMOST think I can see his single digit Standarte number on HIS tab!

This must be someplace on the Rhine River....

I agree, probably somewhere at the Rhein.

Here's the young SS-man, but this is also too blurry for me to make out any number

It is a bit strange, this photo looks very clear when seen from a distance, but gets blurry the closer you come. Almost like a "3-D" picture.

    Anyway, it isn't that important.

    Thanks for Your efforts.

    Kind regards

    Robert
