Medals are in 3 grades. Fatth grade 1 is only to senior commanders, grade 2 to Colonels-Brigadiers and 3rd class to Lt. Cols-Lts.. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

They do have some excellent pieces but it is amazing that once purchased at auction in Europe that they appear on the Najaf listings quite often in excess of two to three times the hammer plus premium prices - you will only need to review the prices raised at the June Kunker Auction in Germany and compare to the Najaf prices to appreciate the immediate inflationary possibilities of resale! Didier Posted August 9, 2010 Share Posted August 9, 2010 Primary Decoration (مقدماتي) For nearly about 10 years after the Iranian Revolution, there weren't any official civil orders in use; hence none were awarded. This is ironic given the backdrop of Saddam's invasion and the long war that followed it. It was around the early 1990s when the government decided to establish new types of official civil orders and introduced about 12 or 14 types of civil and military orders, each in 3 classes. oamotme Posted February 10, 2017 Share Posted February 10, 2017 (edited) Dear Ulsterman, The lower award is the Victory Decoration (Neshan Fateh) which comes in three classes, and is awarded to personnel who have had a role in the 'victories' of the Islamic Republic. The medal's design incorporates a date palm and a mosque. The three date palms are symbolic of the Third Anniversary of the Liberation of Khorramshar during the Iran Iraq war, and are also symbolic of bayonets or swords. The mosque is in green - symbolic of Islam. The red is symbolic of the blood of martyrs, and white is for purity. These are also the three colours of the Iranian flag. The award was initially awarded to those liberating Khorramshahr or subsequently in other victories. The liberation of Khorramshar was on 24 May 1982, thus the institution of this award would appear to date from this period. I am unsure as to whether the ribbons representing academic advancement are representative of actual medals. Emmanuel And another Awards, that I believe is some sort of Bravery Award. And the 3rd one is ....I do not know, even no reference from ribbon. All these 3 Awards came from Ernst Blass Collection.
