And they cost alot.I haven't seen them even at the club-sale of militaria collectors (AKA The Club, which takes place every saturday in one of our local DKs - Dom Kultury - Culture House). From my very limited experience of bullion embroiding they appear to have been added by hand with the original wire possibly removed. Or the whole badge could be a custom job for an individual. Just last night, after I posted it here of course like some kind of big shot, I showed this particular cap to some men in Russia. There is one who seems to be pretty up-and-up on Civil stuff. He wrote that the cap itself is A-OK, but the wings are an add on, and the star is not in its correct place. At least thst is how I understood it...Perhaps our own Takc or new member Sergey can translate his words more accurately than I (?);Сама фуражка подлинная. Initially I was thinking that it's a strange airforce cap due to the blue piping, but it also has the same material band as tankists - a black furlike thing. The one that I have shown I aquired by chance in a generous swap with our very own Stoo Belaruski.The order of 1932 which approved stars with a steam locomotive did not contain figure, therefore also stars a lot of different type. But it can be both from the beginning of 50-ies, or the end of 70-ies. At this time the colour of the visors was similar. But the sewn emblem "wheel with wings" at the crown of the visor cap - is not from this visor cap, it was established for railway service visor caps of the other time frames.
