Organisational Badges Unknown enamel badge

Can anybody out there help identify this badge?

"VDE Tagung Hamburg 1935" its on a stickpin,

reverse maker marked "Carl Wild Hamburg"

Shown with a party badge to give an indication of size.

Sorry Pete, it's a new one on me

VDE is usually the Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker, so my best guess is if it is related to these, perhaps they had some sort of conference in Hamburg that year.

I first thought it was an eagle, so something air related perhaps, but then saw it was a seagull..... Still a pretty badge, and at least the right period.

I believe the seagull is indicative of a life-saving organisation.

I think the M?we/gull is just emblematic of Hamburg's seaborne trade as a badge motif in this case.
