    On the right side of the chest the 1897 Centenery for Kaiser Wilhelm I Birthday, the ribbon is actually yellow but colour tones came out different with regards Black & White, on his left breast a Prussian service "Schnalle" for more details on these please see:

    here is the back of the card.

    Not only does it show the photographers details someone has also writen the names of the 3 guys on the front.

    i cannot make out the first name but i think that the second guys name is Paul Wegener and the 3rd guys name is August Spenger,but i could be wrong.Any chance of some help??

    It does say Garde du Corps.I is it true or has someone made a mistake.

    Someone has made a mistake, the Garde du Corps was a heavy cavalry regiment. I may be wrong, but I think he's Garde infantry.

    Here is a close up of his cap.

    Now it looks like he has a skull and crossbones cap badge .Anyone shed any light on this??

    I believe the Skull and Crossbones had a connection to Prussian Cavalry Regiments, notably the Prussian 1st and 2nd Bodyguard Hussars, and the 1. Leib-Husaren Regiment.

    The 2nd Lieb-Husaren Regiment.

    And also by the Brunswick Infantry Regiment 92 and the Brunswick Hussar Regiment 17.

    The difference being ( and I stand to be corrected if wrong) is the first units mentioned had the bones behind the skull, and the latter beneath the skull.
