Tiger-pie Posted September 9, 2007 Share Posted September 9, 2007 The Reconstruction Task Force recently paused operations to mourn the death of ?Merlin,? an Explosive Detection Dog who served with distinction throughout his Army career.Merlin was accidentally killed in a vehicle incident earlier this month while supporting RTF reconstruction activities on the outskirts of Tarin Kowt.Below pic: Merlin at work, sniffing out EO. Those of us who love animals can relate to the loss of a cherished pet, it must be just as painful for the handler of a dog who generally work as a team on a long term basis.
