The shoulder patches come in pairs and are worn on each shoulder. The 1st Military Cpllege is located South of Baghdad and is the oldest College and was founded in the 1930's. The 2nd Military College is (was ) located East of Baghdad and was founded in the 1970's-1980's. The 3rd Military College is (was ) located Northwest of Baghdad and founded in the 1980's. The item in # 87 is an Order of Martyr's Mother. These Orders were instituted for wives and mothers whose soldiers were lost in the Iraq-Iran War from 1980-1988. The Popular Army was founded in 1970 and formed to protect the Ba'ath Party against internal opposition. The badge comes in two colors. Gilt color for officers and silver color for enlisted personnel. The translation of the badge is : Above-Unity Arab Nation,with immortal mission ( Al Ba'ath Party aims ).
