We stopped to conduct a raid on a house in Bagdad, the children gathered around so I had my gunner in the M1114 take a picture of me with them:

The new uniform change from DCU to ACU but still have the DCU Equipment:

    Paul

To not go crazy as a Recon Scout, I had to have some fun while I was in Iraq for my second time: I go back in June with 1-9 Cav 4BCT

So keep me in your prayers.

    Thank you

Why? It is just a bit of black humour, typical of the military.

All the best for your next tour Lorenzo.

I hear what you are saying. That particular photo is kinda chilling, is all.

Lorenzo, I wish you the best of luck over there. It is great to see you have such a close and respectful relationship with the local people. When I was over there, I was sometimes very embarrassed with the actions of my "comrades". Not more than a handful took the time to get to know a few of these noble Persians.

Working on the MITT Team With the IA Iraqi Army:

While I was in Iraq I worked with the Iraqi Army on the 3-5-6 IA MITT Team

Our Area of Operation AO was under control by the MITT and the Iraqi Army, don't get me wrong we had our fire fights and I.E.Ds.

    AMERIYAH

    SALHIYA

    MANSOUR

    KARKH

    HAIFA STREET

    MUTHANA

The pictures will give you an insight of how the IA lived and worked:

    thank you for viewing:

This was my gift for serving the Iraqi Army

The living conditions of the IA

IA soldiers would sleep out side, due to no AC and there was no room for bunks for them to sleep on in the Iraqi Military buildings.
