    Serbia - Original Chetnik items

    Recommended Posts

Now that you have mentioned daggers, I also noticed big amount of them being offered and sold. They are mostly coming from the same sellers some of them are of pretty good quality others not, but that doesn't mean that they are fake. Also there couple of "types" of these daggers looking pretty much the same with sometimes different details for example different type of material used from the handle.

Do you perhaps have some photos of those fake chetnik daggers? I'm really interested to see how they look like and compare them with others from ebay.

Now this is an original of lieutenant colonel Sinisha "Pazarac" Ocokoljic that was one of the closest officer´s of General Mihailovich. He was the organizator of the withdrawal to Slovenia. He managed to escape to Austria, but there he was kidnapped by Tito´s agents after the war and brought to Belgrade at a show trial. He was tortured and executed.

3rd, skull with crossed bones on scabbard looks pretty much the same as the one used on M24ČK knife worn by the members of četnik (assault) units within regular army.

What about this type? Good or fake? I've seen three examples just like that in short period of time.

    First.

One of the most beautiful daggers I have ever seen! Could you perhaps post just a little bit larger photos? :)

Vojvoda Tankosić's (1880-1915) dagger, one of the most prominent leaders of pre-WW1 četniks (komite).

Photo taken at Military museum's exhibition "100 years from Battle of Kumanovo".
